Communication is a virus-Sending it LIVE

Communication is a virus-Final Crit

The feedback from the crit is shown below:

-Very strong concept

-Looks good,works well

-Looks identical to Facebook, which could cause confusion.

-Clearer definition in what we are trying to achieve.

Communication is a virus-Final Presentation

This the presentation used for the final crit. We wanted to create a presentation which would allow people to easily follow our design process, as we often had several processes going on at one time with in the project. The layout of the presentation consistent which again made it easier to present and follow.  the crit feedback is shown above.

Communication is a virus-Final Posters

Below are the final posters used. I think as final outcomes they are good. The hard hitting approach of the text, will draw in the audience, as does the colour scheme.
The layout  i think has improved greatly from the start, using the text box aligned from the right full of the info, with a slightly less opacity, helps the main body of text to be hard hitting. The text box includes all the information needed, including an email for sending in photos etc. of the day without Facebook.

Communication is a virus-Website

The initial idea for this project, was to get people that turned off Facebook, for the said day, to upload videos and photos to this website, of what they got up to instead of Facebook. From this these uploads we would of created a viral video. Using this video to highlight alternatives to Facebook. We wanted to create an amusing and different way of highlighting the alternative to Facebook. Especially as what we are really bringing to light is quite heavy stuff(self esteem issues, depression).
However after having a crit with Jo early on in the project, we had to re evaluate the idea. As using the internet for this project, could only encourage people to use Facebook. As a result we moved away from the idea, and worked on the paper based format, of highlighting the event and negative effects.

As you can see, whilst designing the website, we again stay true to the colour scheme's. Along with the closest typeface used to the official Facebook one. We created a website that easily to use, and that would not over power the audience with huge amounts of depressing information.
As a whole i believe, we made the right decision getting rid of the website, due to the potentially hypocritical nature of using the internet. However creating a viral video i think would have been a strong way of approaching the project, and what we were trying to communicate.

Communication is a virus-Leaflet And Flyers

Here are a selection of photos from the leaflets and flyers created for this project, what we wanted to achieve in communication, was a clean way of looking at the important aspects of the information, with regard to the negative effects of Facebook on our generation. We also wanted to highlight the date of the no Facebook day. As final outcomes, i believe this is a clean and effective way of demonstrating, what we are trying to achieve as creatives. The colour scheme is constant through out, it is consistent with Facebook. This will draw audiences into picking up one of these flyers. due to Facebook's popularity. The layouts used, enable information to be digested easily. The logo highlights our intentions, of encouraging people to get off Facebook, and as a result socialise more face to face.
